Jodie Belyea Seeking Re-Election in Dunkley

JODIE BELYEA SEEKING RE-ELECTION IN DUNKLEY
Federal Member for Dunkley, Jodie Belyea MP, has successfully been preselected to re-contest the electorate of Dunkley for the Australian Labor Party at the 2025 Federal election.
Jodie was elected at the 2024 Dunkley by-election following the devastating passing of the late Peta Murphy MP.
For Jodie, community always comes first. It’s why she has spent her career working in the community as a youth worker, foundation manager and ultimately as a founder of a not-for-profit. Now, she proudly represents the Dunkley community as a strong local voice in the Australian Parliament.
Since being elected to Parliament earlier this year, Jodie has been a strong advocate for cost-of-living relief, cheaper medicines, pay rises for workers, more social and affordable housing and investment in skills and training.
But it’s not just in Parliament where Jodie has made a difference. Jodie has a strong local focus on connecting communities and advocating for projects.
Jodie is committed to being a strong local voice for Dunkley and to bring positive change for the local community.
Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Dunkley, Jodie Belyea:
“It’s an honour to have the opportunity to run for re-election”
“Over the last 7 months, I have loved every day getting to meet with people from Seaford, Carrum Downs, Skye, Sandhurst, Langwarrin, Langwarrin South, Frankston, Frankston North, Frankston South and Mount Eliza. “
“Being an MP is about listening. I have had the opportunity to meet with roughly 7000 locals and nearly 100 community groups and organisations."
“Locally, Labor has significantly invested in our community - whether it be the Frankston Urgent Care Clinic, sporting pavilions, stadiums schools, car parks or community centres. I want to see all these projects finished and even more investment in our community.”
“There is so much more to do, and I am looking forward to working with everyone to achieve positive change together.”
“This Government has delivered wage increase, tax cuts, cheaper medicines, cheaper childcare and infrastructure investment”
“Supporting people with cost-of-living relief is a top priority. There’s been targeted action to cut taxes, provide energy bill relief, get wages moving and make medicines cheaper – but there is always more to do. I want to see Medicare strengthened even more and more investment in social and affordable housing and local infrastructure”
